Postdoc in Organismal Biology/Biomechanics: Staff Scientist or Postdoc position at the University of Chicago in the field of Organismal Biology/Biomechanics/Neurobiology (Biotechnology)
About the position: The Hale Lab is seeking to fill a Staff Scientist or a Postdoc position in the field of Neurobiology and Biomechanics.
Tasks Involved:
- The staff scientist/postdoc plans, executes, facilitates & promotes advanced technical/scientific research projects.
- Recognizes the need for innovation and develops advances in research concepts, methodologies and approaches.
- Designs, develops & tests new equipment, instruments, reagents, and/or experimental protocols for research (including hardware, software, statistical methods, etc.).
- Collaborates with other researchers as appropriate. Experience with electrophysiology and imaging preferred.
- Participates in the preparation and writing of grant applications and reports, and (co-) authors scientific research manuscripts.
- Should also supervise other research staff / students.
- Should present work at scientific meetings, & provide peer review of grant applications and also scientific manuscripts.
Qualifications: Ph.D. Required.
