Description

SUNUM is a Nanotechnology Research and Application Center hosted by Sabancı University, Istanbul, Turkey.

Postdoctoral position and PhD position is available at Sabanci University Nanotechnology Research and Application center under TUBITAK funded project-120E094 on the development of wearable biosensors for health monitoring.

Responsibilities will include following (but are not limited to):

1. Lithography, clean-room fabrication techniques, circuit design, and sensor device development
2. Software and hardware design and development
3. Nanomaterial synthesis and structural, electrical characterizations
4. Bioassay development and biosensor testing

PhD Position Requirements

1. Excellent graduate degree (Master’s degree)
2. Independent research project experience within the fields of interest in Graduate School
3. Interest in interdisciplinary oriented research topics and sensitivity for transnational and spatial perspectives
4. Familiar and knowledge of research project object
5. Knowledge of English language
6. If you are a Ph.D. or Master student just recently enrolled in a related graduate program in Turkey, you may also work in the research project.

Fellowships  / Benefits

1. Project duration up to max 36 months, depending upon performance candidate can be supported for up to 4 years
2. Master Scholarship: 3500 TL per month
3. Ph.D. Scholarship: 4500 TL per month
4. A tuition waiver and free accommodation at student dormitories will be provided by Sabancı University
