The School of Earth and Environmental Sciences, the University of Queensland (UQ) invited applications from eligible candidates for filling up the full-time, fixed term position of Postdoctoral Research Fellow / Research Fellow in Microbial Bioinformatics available at St Lucia campus, renowned as one of Australia’s most attractive university campuses.

About the Position: Selected candidates will engage in bioinformatic (and statistical) analyses of sequence data derived from microbial communities and develop new tools and software.

Educational qualifications: Interested and eligible candidates must have PhD degree in microbial ecology, microbiology, bioinformatics, computer science or a highly related field with Python and R, as well as strong writing skills, are essential and the role will involve significant collaboration. Candidates with Quantitative training and exposure of research on social disadvantages, fairness, welfare, etc. will be preferred.
