Dublin City University, Fraunhofer Project Centre invited applications from eligible  candidates for filling up the position of Postdoctoral Researcher available at Fraunhofer Project Centre for Embedded Bioanalytical Systems at Dublin City University (FPC@DCU) – a joint initiative of Science Foundation Ireland and Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft to join an exciting research project where the stated ambition is to spin-out the technology into a start-up company on the successful conclusion of the project.

About the Project: This project involves development of systems to high technology readiness levels (TRLs) within the FPC@DCU which works at the challenging crossroads of microsystems engineering and life sciences.

Position:  Postdoc

Salary: €37,874 to €41,373 (IUA scale)

Duration: 1 year

Educational qualifications: Interested and eligible candidates must have PhD in Electrical/Mechanical/ Biomedical Engineering/Physics or related Engineering or Science field with minimum of 3 years solid technical ability in instrumentation, systems control & integration and communication. Candidates must have Understanding of handling biological fluids and protocols associated with their chemistries esp. on a microfluidic system, required experience designing electro-mechanical systems integration platforms and cross-interactivity of sensors and flow control. Candidates who have dealing with microfluidic systems and centrifugal microfluidics Space will be preferred.
