Postdoc Position in Ecotoxicology (Ecology) at Lund University: The Faculty of Science organizes research and education within Biology, Astronomy, Physics, Geosciences, Mathematics, Chemistry and Environmental Sciences. Lund University, Faculty of Science, Department of Biology is offering applications from eligible candidates for filling up the position of Postdoctoral fellow in landscape ecotoxicology to take responsibility for coordinating and executing lab and field work, set up study systems, communicating with farmers, beekeepers and authorities, use available data to parametrize individual based bumble bee models and lead analysis and writing scientific publications.
About the Position: selected candidates will work in the project “Exposure and Effects of Chemical Mixtures on Bees (MixToxBee) – Supporting Pesticide Monitoring and Bee Risk Assessment”. The aims of this research in to quantify bees’ exposure to pesticide mixtures and evaluate effects on individual bees and bee populations, using experiments and modelling.

Duration: 2 years full-time, fixed-term employment
Educational qualifications: Interested and eligible candidates must have PhD degree in ecology, ecotoxicology, physical geography, environmental science, agricultural science or similar with a strong background in research on environmental consequences of pesticide use and land use change, Experience of conducting ecotoxicological studies, landscape ecological studies, work with geographical information systems having excellent skills in written and verbal communication in English and a driver’s license. Candidates with experiences of using the NetLogo modelling environment and studies of pollinators will be preferred.
