Postdoc Position in Genetics at Max Planck Institute: The Department of Archaeogenetics at the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Human History, Jena, utilizes recent advances in molecular approaches on biomolecules, such as genome wide DNA sequencing. The Department of Archaeogenetics invites online applications from eligible bright candidate for filling up the 4 years Postdoc position in Population Genetics (E13 100%) with a focus on to understand genetic diversity and substructure of Neolithic and Bronze Age populations, with a particular emphasis on West- Eurasia.

About the Position: Selected candidates will use statistical methods to quantify ancestral relationships, such as PCA, admixture, and f-statistics. They will research on analysis of human genomic data from ancient and modern samples to reconstruct population history.

Position: Postdoc

Salary: as per norms

Duration: 4 Years.

Closing Date: 31 March 2020.

Educational qualifications: Interested candidates should have doctoral degree (PhD) in genetics, bioinformatics, and computer science or relevant discipline with large high-throughput sequencing or SNP datasets, and a profound interest in human history.Candidates must have evidence of strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to complete tasks in a timely.
