Postdoc position in Material Science at NIMS: National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), Research Center for Magnetic and Spintronic Materials invited applications from eligible candidate for filling up the postdoc position on magnesium alloy research available at Research Center for Magnetic and Spintronic Materials, Magnetic Materials Analysis Group to pursue research works on the development of bake-hardenable wrought magnesium alloys.

About the Position: Selected candidates will research magnesium alloy with excellent room temperature formability and high strength and as well as fundamental studies on the precipitation hardening via the use of advanced instruments of SEM, Cs-corrected TEM and 3D atom probe.

Positions: Postdoc position (Fixed Term)

Salary: As per NIMS regulations

Duration: 1 year (renewable up to 3 years with annual evaluation)

Educational qualifications: Interested and eligible candidates must have PhD Degree in Material Science with strong background in physical metallurgy as well as the prior experience in using SEM and TEM. Candidates with background of the deformation behavior of metallic materials will be preferred.
