Postdoc Position in Materials Science at Uppsala University: The Department of Chemistry – Ångström, Uppsala University invited application for filling up the Postdoc position in Chemistry towards manufacturing of electrodes for Li-ion batteries to study fundamental chemical processes and properties using both experimental and computational techniques.
About the Project: This project is focused on the development of materials and their applications within the energy storage area: the Ångström Advanced Battery Centre. This research includes characterization of polymer binders, slurry formulations, tailoring of slurry rheology, electrode coating, and characterization of the prepared electrodes.

Educational qualifications: Interested and eligible candidates must have PhD or an international equivalent degree within the field of chemistry, materials science with Good programming skills, good knowledge and practical experience of working with slurry rheology, electrode coatings and electrochemical battery testing. Candidates with Experience from working with silicon-based anodes, large-scale electrode coating, and polymer science will be preferred.
