The Department of Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy (Institute of Biology) at Freie Universität Berlin invites applications for a Postdoc position in Biology. The position is full-Time limited to 2 Years.
Responsibilities:
- Collaboration in the DFG research project KU 715 / 12-1: “Long noncoding RNAs (IncRNAs) in response to DNA damage in Arabidopsis thaliana.
Requirements:
- Applicant must hold university degree; Doctorate in Biology.
- Applicant must have practical experience and theoretical knowledge to work with Arabidopsis thaliana and other plants
Desirable:
- Excellent PhD in Plant Molecular Biology
- Expertise in molecular biology laboratory techniques, nucleic acid and protein analysis
- Experience in writing publications
- Experience in web-based bioinformatics applications and databases and analysis of genomics / transcriptomics datasets
- Own initiative, ability to work under Time pressure to achieve good work results
- Flexibility and team ability
- Very good verbal and written English skills
- Enjoyment of scientific communication and presentation
