The Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO) is inviting applications for a highly motivated post-doctoral fellow to work in a multi-disciplinary project working with physicists, engineers and medical doctors in Medical Optics research group led by Prof. Turgut Durduran.
About the project:
- This project is part of international consortia to develop and deploy new novel diffuse optical methods based on laser speckle statistics for the measurement of blood flow in tissues.
- The work will be conducted in a multi-disciplinary environment in collaboration with engineers, physicists and clinicians.
Requirements:
- Candidates must hold an internationally recognized PhD equivalent degree (or evidence of its completion in the near future) in a relevant field.
- Demonstrated expertise in laser speckle physics from both a theoretical and experimental viewpoint is sought.
- Previous experience with diffuse optics for medicine including instrumentation as well as theoretical background is a plus.
- A strong publication record and the contact information of three referees is needed.
- No restrictions related to disabilities, citizenship or gender apply to ICFO positions.
