Postdoc (Scientist) Position in Genomics at SLU: The Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) develops the understanding and sustainable use and management of biological natural resources. Department of Animal Breeding and Genetics, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences invited application for filling up the position of post-doctoral scientist interested in the dynamic field of aquaculture breeding, to publish scientific papers, and to participate in the supervision of master students and PhD student.

About the Positions: Selected candidates will be involved in experiments aiming to improve the selection efficiency of the national Swedish breeding programs of Arctic charr and rainbow trout with the usage of high throughput sequencing derived information, conduct research on selectively bred salmonids in Sweden with the main objective of identifying and understanding the genomic mechanisms associated with male fertility in salmonids.

Position: Postdoc Position

Salary: According to agreement.

Duration: 2 years

Educational qualifications: Interested and eligible candidates must have PhD degree in genetics, genomics, aquaculture having Experience in laboratory work in molecular genetics and genomics with Good ability to communicate in written and spoken English. Knowledge and experience of high throughput sequencing library preparations, experience with selective breeding models and Experience of working with aquaculture species is highly preferable.
