Postdoctoral Researcher,Device/Systems group, Orimo Lab., AIMR at the Tohoku University

This postdoctoral researcher position serves researches for developing Li, Na, and/or Mg ion-conducting hydride solid electrolytes and their application devices based on material science, solid-state ionics, electrochemistry, and mathematical science in collaboration with Prof. Orimo.

Position Description

The applicant is expected to contribute to some of following research issues;

1.     development of superionic hydride conductors,

2.     analysis on ionic-conduction properties,

3.     clarification of ion-conduction mechanism, and

4.     development of all-solid-state batteries.

Research field: Chemistry, Materials chemistry

Full-time(Nontenured): 1 year (typically, total three (3) years for postdocs)

Qualifications

1.  Ph.D. degrees

2.  Good communication, oral presentation and research paper writing skills

3.  Ability to work well in a team and to collaborate with a with other research fields

4.  Research experience in one or more listed fields; (a) metal/inorganic hydride, (b) solid electrolyte, and (c) rechargeable battery(especially lithium ion battery).
