Description

George Washington University seeks to hire up to four (04) postdoc fellows for two-year terms, commencing as early as the fall of 2020. Those chosen will be a part of the Mount Vernon Society of Fellows, located on the Mount Vernon Campus of the university, just north of Georgetown. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

1.      Candidate will participate in a workshop chaired by the Associate Provost for Special Programs and the Mount Vernon Academic Experience, a forum meant to assist in professional advancement and prepare the Fellows for a career in academia.

2.      Postdocs will also teach three seminars in their field over the course of the academic year: two in the fall and one in the spring. It is expected that the seminar will have a broad appeal to students and provide the intellectual anchor for the living and learning community to which it is tied.

Core Research Areas: sustainability, global connections, interfaith communication, civic and community engagement, inclusion and diversity, digital identities, health, as well as artistic expression and design.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

1.      Applicants must possess a terminal degree in any academic field by date of appointment and must have possessed that degree for no more than 06 years.

2.      Applicants must be preparing for an academic career.
