Postdoctoral fellow in Epidemiology at UBC: Land and Food Systems, Vancouver Campus, University of British Columbia( UBC) invited applications for Postdoc position in Food Insecurity Initiative under Dr. Jennifer Black, Associate Professor, Faculty of Land and Food Systems and Dr. Candice Rideout, Senior Instructor, Land and Food Systems.
About the Position: This fellowship is Guided by the Okanagan Charter for Health Promoting Universities, UBC’s Wellbeing Strategic Framework, UBC Wellbeing Action Framework for a Nutritionally Sound Campus, and the UBC Food Action Framework. Selected applicants will job with internal and external stakeholders to calculate food insecurity prevalence for UBC community members and to inform UBC’s evaluation approach and evidence-based actions.
Position: Postdoctoral fellow
Salary: $60,000/year + benefits
Duration: 2 years.
Closing Date: 29 February 2020.
Educational qualifications: Interested candidates should have PhD (doctoral degree) in Nutrition, Health Promotion, Public Health, Epidemiology, or other relevant field with sufficient research skills and Advanced quantitative data analysis skills with knowledge of R, SAS, or STATA, Experience in distilling large amounts of information accurately into succinct reports. Candidates must have ability to supervise or mentor junior researchers and student staff having Knowledge of food systems, community health issues and/or health promotion strategies.
