Postdoctoral fellow in Evolutionary Biology 839 views

The Faculty of Science, Department of Biology at Lund University is seeking postdoctoral fellow in Evolutionary Biology. The position is available in research group of Dr. Feiner. The postdoctoral researcher will investigate the evolutionary and developmental consequences of transposable elements (TEs) in the Hox gene clusters of Anolis lizards.

Duties:
  • Active participation in the scientific design of the project
  • Carrying out developmental biology research on lizards
  • Analysis of omics datasets with a special emphasis on transposable elements
  • Development of new methodologies and transfer of existing methodologies to lizards
  • Dissemination of the acquired insights, including writing of scientific publications

Requirements:

  • Applicant must have a PhD or an international degree deemed equivalent to a PhD, within the subject of the position, completed no more than three years before the last date for applications.
  • Very good oral and written proficiency in English
  • Expertise in developmental biology, analysis of transposable elements or comparative genomics
  • Background in herpetology is advantageous
