Postdoctoral fellowship: Electrical Engineering and Computer Science   1169 views

This project is funded by the ONR (Office of Naval Research).

  1. The main goal of this project is to investigate the concept of geodesic lenses for generating highly efficient antenna that can support high-power.
  2. Therefore, to produce high efficient systems, fully-metallic lens antenna solutions will be investigated.
  3. The work will be developed in the central campus of KTH, at the Division of Electromagnetic Engineering, EME , at the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, EECS .
  4. The staffs has a multicultural background and the working language is English.
  5. The department is internationally well established, has many research collaborations with excellent partners worldwide, and is involved in several European and national projects

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Applicants must hold or be about to receive a doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromagnetic Engineering, Physics, or similar.
  2. Doctoral degree must be obtained before the start date of the contract.
  3. The doctoral degree must have been obtained within the last three years (some exceptions for special grounds, for instance sick leave and parental leave).
  4. The applicants should have a strong background from at least one of the areas: met materials, met surfaces, electromagnetic band gaps, leaky wave antennas, lens antennas, or higher symmetries.
  5. The successful applicant should have an outstanding research and publication record.
  6. Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills are a requirement.
  7. We are looking for a strongly motivated person, who is able to work independently. Good command of English orally and in writing is required to present and publish research results.
