Postdoctoral Fellowship in Electrochemistry: UiO 1360 views

The Department of Chemistry/Centre for Materials Science and Nanotechnology at University of Oslo invites applications for a postdoctoral research fellow in Electrochemistry. The fellowship is for duration of 3 years. The fellowship starts by 15th November 2018.

The main aim of the fellowship is to qualify researchers for work in higher academic positions within their disciplines.

Requirements:
  • Applicant must have a PhD or other corresponding education equivalent to a Norwegian doctoral degree in inorganic, physical, or materials chemistry.
  • Applicant preferably must have experience and specialization in defects and/or transport in functional oxides at elevated temperatures. #
  • Doctoral dissertation must be submitted for evaluation by the closing date. Appointment is dependent on the public defence of the doctoral thesis being approved.

Selection criteria:

  • Experience in high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM) and/or secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS), as well as computational methods (DFT) will be prioritized.
  • Knowledge of advanced synthesis and fabrication methodologies for thin films and catalytically active surfaces is of advantage.
  • The person employed will collaborate extensively with researchers from other complementary projects and good command of English, good collaboration and communication skills, and the ability to take initiative.
