Overview:
The School of Chemistry at the University of St Andrews aims to appoint an Associate Lecturer (Education Focused) in Inorganic Chemistry from 11th January 2021. The position will be fixed term for one year.
Eligibility Criteria:
We welcome applications from outstanding candidates who have developed an interest and expertise in undergraduate teaching.
- The position will have a focus on inorganic chemistry and the successful applicant will have an aptitude for teaching across all aspects of the undergraduate curriculum.
- A Ph.D in an appropriate area of Chemistry is essential, and you will already have demonstrated an aptitude for teaching at university level.
- The successful applicant will respond to the Head of Inorganic Chemistry and be required:
- To perform a broad range of undergraduate teaching of fundamental inorganic chemistry through lectures, tutorials and laboratory classes;
About the position:
- St Andrews Chemistry is a dynamic teaching and research environment with ~38 Academic staff, 140 Ph.D students and 60 PDRAs. We offer undergraduate courses to MChem level.
- Undergraduate teaching is delivered across five undergraduate years.
- The position will have a focus on inorganic chemistry and the successful applicant will have an aptitude for teaching across all aspects of the undergraduate curriculum.
