Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO) is offering a postdoctoral position to a well-qualified, highly motivated and dynamic young scientist who wishes to enhance his/her scientific career in a friendly and stimulating environment. The position is available in Functional Optoelectronic NanoMaterials group, led by ICREA Prof. Gerasimos Konstantatos. The postdoctoral fellow will develop mid and long wave infrared photodetectors based on graphene/2D materials using appropriate sensitizers.
Requirements:
- Candidates must hold an internationally-recognized PhD equivalent degree (or evidence of its completion in the nearest future) in Applied Physics, Material Science or Electrical Engineering, prior to taking up the position.
- Candidate should have demonstrated expertise on fabrication and characterization of graphene or 2D material based photodetectors.
- Candidate should have strong micro/nano fabrication expertise and graphene/2D material processing as well as documented experience on characterization of optoelectronic devices.
- Prior expertise on detector characterization in the infrared and/or quantum dot optoelectronics will be considered a plus.
Applications:
Application to be submitted online including:
- Presentation letter with a declaration of interest
- CV including contact details
- The contact e-mail of two potential referees
