The Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics is an international research institute focused on cell and developmental biology and are hiring a Postdoc (m/f/d) in Cell Biology. The full-time position is available immediately for an initial period of 2 years with the possibility of extension.
About the position:
- The position in available in group of Marino Zerial.
- Candidate to be a highly motivated with strong background in cell biology to work on the delivery of oligonucleotide therapeutics.
- This project aims to investigate the intracellular trafficking of non-viral gene delivery technologies.
- This project will provide proof of concept for new platforms enabling cellular delivery of oligonucleotides in vitro and in vivo and demonstrate the therapeutic potential of the approach.
- The project will be carried out in collaboration with a mayor pharmaceutical company.
Qualifications:
- Candidate should hold a degree in Life Sciences and have documented experience in cell biology and fluorescence microscopy imaging.
- Experience in in vivo studies with mice will be an advantage.
- Candidate should be able to interact with members of an interdisciplinary team of cell biologists, physicists, chemists and computer scientists, work in a competitive international environment and possess excellent communication and data presentation skills (English is the working language at the MPI-CBG).
