The Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Copenhagen is inviting applications form top early-career researchers for a number of one to three year postdoctoral positions.

Starting date: 2020, ordinarily September 1 or October 1

About the position:
  • The teaching load is typically two quarter (half-semester) courses per year of which one usually is as a teaching assistant.
  • Applicants hired via this call will be affiliated with one of the two sections in pure mathematics: Geometric Analysis and Mathematical Physics and Topology, Functional Analysis and Algebra.

Specific areas/centers of the department:

  • Algebra, topology, operator algebra, and non-commutative geometry as covered by the Centre for Symmetry and Deformation.
  • Geometric analysis: Riemannian geometry, PDEs and curvature flows. For more information, please contact Assistant Profesor Niels Martin Møller.
  • The VILLUM Center of excellence for the Mathematics of Quantum Theory (QMATH) focusing on mathematical physics and quantum information theory.
