The Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organization invite applications for Postdoctoral Positions in Soft Matter Physics/Fluid Dynamics at the department Dynamics of Complex Fluids headed by Prof. Dr. Stephan Herminghaus.

Tasks and responsibilities:
- The selected candidates will design and conduct experiments on the droplet dynamics of complex fluids on various types of surfaces and under different environmental conditions.
- The general goal is to achieve a better understanding of physical aspects of fluid-wall interactions and particle deposition at interfaces.
- The positions are third-party funded and research will be carried out in close collaboration with an internationally renowned company.
Requirements:
- Applicant must be excellent, enthusiastic and self-motivated researchers with good communication skills to join the research team.
- Applicant must hold PhD in physics or related disciplines and a solid background as well as interest in soft matter physics and fluid dynamics.
- Applicant must have expertise regarding experimental techniques and data analysis, programming skills (e.g. Matlab).
- Applicant must possess fluency in both written and spoken English; German would be an asset.
