Notre Dame Radiation Laboratory, a world-renowned center for study of radiation chemistry, has an opening for an experimental scientist in a postdoctoral positon. This postdoctoral position is for an experimental radiation chemist.
Research Topic: Topics of current interest include fast kinetics measurements of radical reactions in supercritical fluids and spectroscopic characterization of the host media and participating transients, along with investigations into the radiation stability of aqueous systems, liquid hydrocarbons and plastics to better understand their long-term stability in applications pertinent to the nuclear power industry.
Duration: This appointment would be for one year with the possibility of renewal.
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. in physical chemistry or related discipline required.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of radiation effects desired.
