The Pyun Laboratory in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry-Sci. at the University of Arizona (UA) is seeking a motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate I to conduct research with expertise in synthetic organic chemistry, polymer synthesis, and to perform new research on the development of new functional polymers . The chosen candidate will report directly to Dr. Pyun.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and conduct experiments related to polymer chemistry.
- Lead research teams in the research of functional polymers.
- Mentor other postdocs, graduate students and undergraduate students in the group on all aspects of chemistry (synthesis, characterization, theory, instrumentation training, paper/grant writing).
- Communicate new research findings via publications, meetings and memorandums.
- Additional duties may be assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. in Chemistry, or polymer science
Preferred Qualifications
Three – five years experience in polymer chemistry and synthetic chemistry.
