Postdoctoral Research Fellow Position in Computer Science at UQ: School of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, The University of Queensland (UQ) invited applications from engineers and computer scientists with expertise in robotics, control theory, machine learning and artificial intelligence for filling up the full-time, fixed term position Postdoctoral Research Fellow for up to three years at Academic Research Level A.

About the position: Selected candidates will contribute to innovative research solutions and developments in a cross-disciplinary area addressing privacy, environmental, and social issues with the state-of-the-art data analysis and artificial intelligence techniques.

Duration: full-time, fixed term position for up to three years at Academic Research Level A

Educational qualifications: Interested and eligible candidates must have PhD (completed or near-completion) in computer science with ability to develop machine learning and deep learning methods for real-world problems associated with social computing, time-series analysis, personalization and predictive analytics. They must have also a solid track record of refereed research publications in data mining, machine learning and artificial intelligence. Candidates with Quantitative training and exposure of research on social disadvantages, fairness, welfare, etc. will be preferred.
