The Laboratory of Physical Chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Sereina Riniker’s group (for Computational Chemistry) at ETH Zurich is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Computational Chemistry. The group is interested in the development of methodology for classical molecular dynamics simulations and cheminformatics, and in the application to address challenging biological and chemical questions.

About the project:

• The research project will focus on the investigation of the conformational behaviour of cyclic peptides to understand their passive membrane permeability and the development of molecular dynamics fingerprints for the prediction of physicochemical properties of molecules.

Starting date: November 1, 2018

Applications:

• Applicant must hold a PhD degree in Computational Chemistry, Chemistry, or Biochemistry with a strong background in molecular dynamics simulations or cheminformatics.
• Experiences with machine learning and good programming skills (C++, Python) are advantageous.
• Applicant must be self-motivated with outstanding academic record, excellent communication skills and professional integrity.
