Postdoctoral position on synthesis of materials for energy applications at the Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden.

Research/Project

The research group “Polymer Chemistry and Electronics” leading by Prof. Ergang Wang at the Department of Chemistry and Chemcial Engineering focues on the synthesis and characterization of conjugated materials including polymers, small molecules and Graphene-like materials for applications in organic solar cells, organic field effect transistors (OFETs), organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) and supercapacitors.

The project is mainly about synthesis of organic materials and 2D materials, and characterization and device fabrications such as organic solar cells and supercapacitors.

Responsibilities

  1. Your major responsibility as a postdoc is to perform your own research in a research group.
  2. Includes supervising master’s and/or PhD students to a certain extent (but no teaching).
  3. Another important aspect involves collaboration within academia and with society at large.
  4. You are expected to develop your own scientific concepts and communicate the results of your research verbally and in writing in English.

Position Details

Full-time temporary employment.

The position is limited to a maximum of two years (1+1).

The position will start from the 1th of November.

Required Qualifications

 

  1. Have a doctoral degree or equivalent in Chemistry or Material Science or a relevant field.
  2. Demonstrate good potential within research and education.
  3. Candidates with experience in the following fields are highly appreciated: organic photovoltaics, photodetectors, organic synthesis, supercapacitors, light-emitting diodes, graphene science.
