DTU Biosustain calls for applications for a position as a part-time Professor in Microbial Proteomics.

Responsibilities and tasks

  1. This is a part-time position, with 20% FTE appointment
  2. This involves high-level research, publication, and scientific dissemination as well as external collaboration and research management.
  3. Exchange of knowledge with society (outreach)
  4. Development of phosphor-proteomics approaches
  5. Fundraising and project management
  6. PhD supervision
  7. Guidance and supervision of assistant professors and researchers
  8. Academic assessment work
  9. The recruited Professor is expected to set up and run an independent research group, supported to a significant extent by external funding.

Qualifications:

  • Applicant must produce documented scientific production in the field of bacterial protein phosphorylation, and their capacity to continue developing this field.
  • Applicant must have ability to make partnership with academic and industrial partners (national and international)
  • Applicant must have successful track record of academic appointments; Management experience
  • Applicant must have experience in guiding of PhD students and postdoctoral fellows; with industrially relevant bacteria (cell factories); phosphor-proteomics of bacteria
  • Professorship in bacteriology/microbiology at another academic institution will be considered an advantage.

Duration: Limited to 4 years, with a chance for extension.
