A Professorship in Political Science (open rank), starting 1st of August 2017 is being offered by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Basel. It’s an open rank, starting from 1st August 2017. The newly appointed professorship will be engaged in planning and applying new research programs in political science at the University.
About the job:
- The selected candidate will represent political science in research and teaching and is particularly qualified in the study of European and Asian relationships, democratization processes and federalism.
- The position will be within the Social Science Department. Recipients are expected to be open for cooperation, both within the Department and the Faculty as well as, with the Institute for European Global Studies.
- Awardee must share a strong interest in building bridges between political science and cultural studies.
- Recipient will be involved in national and international research collaborations.
- Applicant must have illustrious record in the field of Social Sciences to be precise in political science and must have experience in management of inter and trans-disciplinary projects.
- Applicant future research and teaching plans will hold an important role in the selection process.
