Position 1: Program Officers/ Scientist/Engineer/Project Fellow

Desirable qualifications:

1. Ph.D./Masters degree in engineering(Agriculture/Renewable energy),
2. Post graduates with some field level experience 3-5 years in handling societal projects

Job responsibilities / description:

1. Develop and contribute to research activities related to renewable energy and energy management in the village/agriculture, such as innovation, scaling up of renewable energy, impacts on livelihood, etc.
2. Contribute to field projects/activities on renewable energy promotion and improved energy access.
3. Assist in organizing workshops/meetings, preparing background documents and other relevant documents for wider dissemination.
4. Contribute to project related activities ongoing in the Extension division, as well as meeting technical and financial reporting requirements for projects.

Position 2: Programme Professionals (Social Scientist)

Desirable qualifications:

1. Postgraduates/Graduates in Rural Development Studies/ Social Sciences/ Social work
2. four-five years experience in handling societal projects.

Job responsibilities / description:

1. Technical support in the collection and compilation of good practices, livelihood models in farm, non-farm and allied sectors in rural areas for learning, dissemination and replications of Renewable energy technologies
2. Analyzing the data arising from programs and research-led initiatives
3. Supporting and/or leading the design of impact evaluations
4. Engaging and/or leading field-based data collection
5. Formatting and presenting data for various reports, including background notes, technical reports and presentation;
6. Support in organizing training and workshops for cross learning on Renewable Energy in Rural area.
7. Technical support to identify local low cost technologies/solutions.

Position 3: Research Associate

Educational requirements:

1. The candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology or related areas.

Job responsibilities / description:

1.  Genomic and metagenomic approaches for identifying novel cellulolytic enzymes for higher cellulase activities
2. Bulk enzyme production (solid state/or submerged fermentation)
3. Evaluation of enzymes for higher enzymatic hydrolysis studies using pre-treated lignocellulosic biomass.
