Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) is inviting applications for recruitment of Project Scientist

Designation: Project Scientist

Number of Vacancy: 1 Posts

Required Educational Qualification: 

  1. First division in M.Tech. in Textile Technology, Polymers, Applied and Analytical Chemistry, Nanotechnology (non-ECE, Computers) and related areas with GATE qualification. OR
  2. Tech. in Textile Technology, Polymers and related areas with 2 years of experience in research with GATE qualification.
  3. The requirement of qualifying NET/SET/GATE qualification may be relaxed in case of highly meritorious candidates.

Salary / Pay Scale (INR): 35400-50000/- Per Month + HRA 24%

Walk-In Test / Date of Interview: 20/09/2018

Time of Interview: 11.30 a.m.

Venue / Place of conduct: Office of the Head of the Department of Textile Technology, IIT Delhi, Hauz Khas, New Delhi-110016.

The eligible candidates the above qualifications/experience should appear for the interview. The candidate should bring the following:

  1. Formal application on Form No. IRD/REC-4, which can be downloaded from IRD Website (see below) through proper channel
  2. Complete information regarding educational qualifications indicating percentage of marks of each examination passed,
  3. Details of work experience and a recent passport size photograph,
  4. Original certificates (both academic and professional) for verification on the date of interview.

Note: No candidate, who is already employed at the Institute / IRD shall be interviewed unless his/her application has been duly forwarded by their concerned establishment/sections. 5% relaxation of marks may be granted to the SC/ST Candidates. In case of selection of a retired/superannuated government employee, his/her salary will be fixed as per prevailing IRD norms.
