Postdoc Fellow: Mass spectrometric characterization of complex samples

The group is looking for a Postdoctoral Fellow for the research area of transition metal dimers

Paul Scherrer Institute PSI is one of the largest research institutes for natural and engineering sciences within Switzerland. Institute performs cutting-edge research in the fields of matter and materials, energy and environment and human health.

Department: For the Energy and Environment Department we are looking for an inter-laboratory

Tasks Involved

  1. Development of mass spectrometry based analytical methods
  2. Development of advanced sample preparation strategies
  3. Development of multidimensional chromatographic techniques
  4. Publishing in international leading scientific journals
  5. Supervising master students, doctoral students and trainees
  6. Maintenance of mass spectrometry equipment

Requirements

  1. PhD degree with a strong analytical background
  2. Profound knowledge in high-resolution mass spectrometry.
  3. Have a solution oriented mindset open for environmental- and energy-related questions.
  4. Possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and a very good command of English.
  5. Basic German skills would be an advantage.
