PhD Program at the Quantitative Biosciences Munich (QBM) – Gene Center of the LMU, Department of Biochemistry. QBM offers an interdisciplinary integrated PhD program that consists of 3 main components:
- A research project jointly supervised by 2 PIs from different fields.
- A formal course workwith a general and an individual component, that covers key problems in bioscience.
- Activities to enhance students’ communication and other transferable skills.
Key Requirements
- MSc graduates from any relevant discipline ike, biochemistry, theoretical physics, biophysics, physical chemistry, mathematics, statistics, (bio)informatics)
- Any nationality who are interested in interdisciplinary research;
- Particularly encourage application of women.
The candidate is required to hold Master’s degree by the time he / she start the QBM program, but not at the time of application necessarily.
