1-2 Postdoc positions at the Quantum Matter Lab, Department of Physics, National Cheng Kung Universit, Japan. The positions are available from 1 st August, 2016 in the Advanced Nano & amp.
Research area:
Our research group focuses mainly on low temperature physics in condensed matters. Our current study includes frustrated magnetism, multiferroic, superconductivity, unconventional magnetic phase transition etc. Our Laboratory equipped with quantum-design MPMS (7 Tesla), PPMS (16 Tesla with 3 He-dilution fridge), ESR, Laue camera etc. We use the facilities of neutron, muon, and synchrotron x-rays all over the world for researches.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in physics, chemistry, materials science, or related fields with strong backgrounds in condensed matter physics and magnetism.
- Previous experiences on operating and maintaining quantum design PPMS and/or MPMS are a plus. Knowledge in using neutron, x-ray scattering, muon spin relaxation technique is considered to be a distinct advantage, but not necessary.
- Good communication skills in spoken and written English and willing to travel oversea for experiments are essential.
How to Apply: The positions are initially for one year and renewable for an additional year, dependent on satisfactory performance. If interested, please email Prof. Lieh-Jeng Chang (ljchang@mail.ncku.edu.tw) with the following files:
