Recruitment for Faculty Positions at the Goa University.

Eligible Candidates should register their names in the office of the Assistant Registrar (Teaching), Administrative Office, Goa University 30 mins before the scheduled time of the interview

Required Qualifications

The minimum qualifications for appointment for the post of Assistant Professor:

  1. Good Academic record with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.
  2. Good academic record shall mean that a candidate has secured at least second class at graduate level, or has secured an average of 50% marks in the previous three examinations.
  3. Candidates should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
  4.  NET/SLET/SET shall be the minimum eligibility condition for recruitment.
  5. Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulation, 2009 will be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions.
