Research Assistant (Molecular Biology): MPI of Molecular Physiology 1025 views

The Max Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology is inviting applications to fill a position for a Research Technician/Assistant (Molecular Biology) in the group of Dr. Alexander Bird.

Responsibilities:
  • Support colleagues in the lab with their research projects
  • Work independently with cell culture (Passing, transfecting, and cloning various cell lines)
  • Work independently with molecular biological techniques (e.g. PCR, DNA cloning, Western Blotting, protein purification)
  • Perform standard laboratory tasks such as purchasing and lab organization

Requirements:

  • Applicant must have completed training at a technician school for biology or have equivalent experience
  • Applicant must have experience with molecular biology techniques (i.e. cloning, PCR)
  • Applicant must possess a team-oriented personality, yet are able to operate independently
  • Applicant must possess strong communication skills in English.

Duration: The contract is for 2 years.
