Research Assistant Position in Aquatic Ecology at SLU: The Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) offers unique degree programmes in for example rural development and natural resource management, environmental economics, animal science and landscape architecture. The Department of Aquatic Resources invited application for filling up the position of Research assistant in Aquatic Ecology carry out laboratory work on groundwork and studies of samples collected in experiments and in the field with the purpose to study effects of difference in the local environment. The Department of Aquatic Resources develops the information on limnic and marine ecology.

About the Positions: Selected candidates will be part of our team working on dynamics of fish communities and aquatic food webs, and their responses to climate change, exploitation and other human pressures.

Educational qualifications: Interested and eligible candidates must have master degree in limnology, aquatic or marine ecology. Experience of zooplankton identification and knowledge about aquatic animal organisms are considered important merits. Candidates with knowledge of and skills in identification of zooplankton and Experience of sample preparation for analyses of stable isotopes will be preferred.
