 Overview

The position coordinates and conducts research in modeling, control, or optimization of automotive components or systems; prepares, edits, and delivers technical presentations; assists in developing research proposals and problem-solving tasks; assists in development and implementation of new or revised research methods in the field of automotive components and systems; provides mentor-ships to staff and students in their area of expertise.

Required Qualifications

1.      Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;

2.      Considerable experience in an engineering research capacity; experience in applied engineering simulation;

3.      experience using modeling software such as Catia, MATLAB, solidworks, and/or materials testing.

Desired Qualifications

Doctoral degree with specialization in mechanical engineering or related discipline; experience with ANSYS 16.0, ABAQUS, and LS-DYNA.

Salary: $60,000.00 – $72,000.00 Annually

Temporary or Regular: Full-time, Regular
