Minimum Educational Qualifications & Experience

  1. Ph.D. in any branch of Life Sciences.
  2. Candidates who have submitted thesis may also apply.
  3. Candidate must have at least one first author peer reviewed international publication from his/her PhD

Experience:

  1. Agriculturally important insects,   their rearing, dissections and bioassays
  2. Yeast two-hybrid, protein array, phage display or similar system
  3. Expression cloning, recombinant expression, purification of recombinant enzymes
  4. Protein activity assays
  5. Bioinformatics tools for protein analyses, statistical analyses like ANOVA, correlation, etc. 

Consolidated emoluments: Rs. 36,000 + 30% HRA per month.

Post-2: Project Assistant

Minimum Educational Qualifications & Experience

  1. M.Sc. in any branch of Life Sciences or equivalent degree.
  2. Candidates awaiting the final semester results may also apply. 

Experience:

  1. Agriculturally important insects,   their rearing, dissections and bioassays
  2. Basic plant molecular biology and biochemistry experimentation
  3. Gene cloning, recombinant expression and agro-infiltration
  4. Agrobacterium-mediated plant transformation
  5. HPLC and LC-MS based analyses
  6. Statistical analyses like ANOVA, correlation, etc.

Post-3: Field Assistant

Name of the Project: “Cross-kingdom affairs: Can microRNAs of host plants regulate genes of their insect herbivores?”

Minimum educational Qualifications & Experience

Up to Class 10th with Marathi, Hindi and English reading, writing and communication skills

 Experience:

  1. Handling agriculturally important insects
  2. Working in agricultural field
  3. Soil testing

Consolidated emoluments: Rs. 16000/- per month
