Research Fellow (Postdoc) Position in Botany at UoM: School of Ecosystem and Forest Sciences(SEFS), Faculty of Science, University of Melbourne (UoM) is  Australia’s highest research and education provider dedicated to the study of ecosystem processes, sustainable land management, and environmental social science in forest and other ecosystems, covering the full range from natural to highly urbanised systems. School of Ecosystem and Forest Sciences, University of Melbourne (UoM) invited applications from highly motivated researcher who can pursue a dynamic research program for filling up Research Fellow (Waterway Vegetation Management) to work with Waterway Ecosystem Research Group.

About the position: Quantitative analysis, interpretation and decision support will be a key focus of this role. Selected candidates will perform other tasks as requested by the supervisor or the Head of School or supervisor.

Position: Research Fellow

Salary: $102,967 – $122,268 (Level B)

Educational qualifications: Interested and eligible candidates must have PhD in botany, ecology, environmental science and management or a related field, Well-developed interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills with Strong skills in critical thinking and quantitative analysis with demonstrated experience in working with real-world data and statistical analysis/modelling. Candidates having experience in decision analysis and/or monitoring and adaptive management , knowledge and experience in database design and development life cycle will be preferred.
