Research Fellow Senior Research Fellow Position in Social Sciences at UQ: The Institute for Social Science Research (ISSR) is an international leader in advanced interdisciplinary social science and evidence-based policy research. The Institute for Social Science Research (ISSR), The University of Queensland (UQ) invited applications from eligible candidates for filling up the full-time, fixed term position of Research Fellow/Senior Research Fellow to work in Mark Western’s research group in the ARC Centre of Excellence for Children and Families Over the Life Course to undertake research on social inequality and mobility in Australia and other wealthy countries. This position is located at our Long Pocket Campus.

Salary:  $97,590.98 – $115,888.95 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% for Level B and $119,548.53 – $137,846.50 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% for Level C

Duration: 3 year fixed term appointment at Academic Level B or C

Educational qualifications: Interested and eligible candidates must have PhD degree in Social Sciences or a relevant area of applied research having a record of publication in high-ranking refereed journals and other research outlets with Disciplinary knowledge relevant to empirical studies of social mobility and inequality. Candidates with Quantitative training and exposure of research on social disadvantages, fairness, welfare, etc. will be preferred.
