University of Waikato offers Research Masters Scholarships for students to undertake a masters-level thesis at the University. The scholarship is open for students from all nationalities including domestic students.

Scholarship Value: $12,000 for a 90-point thesis or $15,000 for a 120-point thesis (or more)

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must have applied to enroll, or be planning to enroll, full-time in a thesis of 90-points or more as part of their first master’s degree at the University of Waikato.
  • Applicants must start their thesis within 06 months of the application closing date.
  • The Scholarship is open to New Zealand nationals, permanent residents, and international students.
  • International students must have completed at least 120 points at any New Zealand University.

Application:

  • This is an annual scholarship .The closing date for Round I is 31 October and for round II is 30 April.
  • Applicants must apply for the Scholarship in the application round preceding the commencement of their research.
