- A PhD degree is required
- Highly motivated candidates, preferably with at least two years of postdoc experience in stable isotope geochemistry and biogeochemical cycling of elements in aquatic systems (marine and freshwater).
- Potential candidates with expertise in combining isotopic (natural abundance, isotope enrichment, and/or compound-specific/biomarker) geochemical & molecular approaches to study element cycles in pelagic and/or benthic environments on different spatial/temporal scales, and with interest to integrate experimental and field research are particularly encouraged to apply.
- A background in nitrogen isotope biogeochemistry is not a requirement, but will be an asset.
- The successful candidate is expected to initiate his/her own research projects,
