RIKEN Interdisciplinary Theoretical and Mathematical Sciences Program (iTHEMS) (program director: T. Hatsuda) promotes interdisciplinary collaborations and creation of new interdisciplinary fields through the interactions among researchers in mathematics, theoretical sciences, and computational sciences. Also, iTHEMS aims at nurturing young scientists who cross the boundaries between different disciplines.
About the Job:
- iTHEMS is seeking a theoretical physicist in condensed matter science.
- Successful applicant is expected to pursue top-level researches in condensed matter science and also to lead interdisciplinary collaborations among different fields such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, life science, computational science, information science and social science under the concept of iTHEMS.
Qualification
- Applicants must have Ph.D. or expect to receive Ph.D. before the date of the appointment.
Duration: one-year fixed-term employment contract, renewable based on evaluation
