The Department of Biology at Colorado State University (CSU) is one of eight departments in the College of Natural Sciences. The Department has a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching, as well as excellence in research.

The Department of Biology has an international reputation for excellence in research across a broad array of disciplines, including cell and molecular biology, physiology of plants or animals, animal behavior, ecology, evolutionary biology and computational/theoretical biology.

PhD graduates receive world-class training, participate in cutting-edge and often interdisciplinary research projects, and are employed at all levels of academia and industry around the globe.

Position Summary

The Department of Biology seeks applications from PhD level scientists who are interested in obtaining temporary or special research positions at the Research Scientist/Scholar level.

Required Job Qualifications

 A Ph.D. Degree is required.

– Level I is for individuals generally within three years of receiving their Ph.D.

– Level II is analogous to the Assistant Professor title for regular faculty

– Level III is analogous to the Associate Professor title for regular faculty.

– The Senior level is analogous to the full Professor title for regular faculty.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with knowledge and experience in one or more of the following fields are preferred: cell and molecular biology, physiology of plants or animals, animal behavior, ecology, evolutionary biology and computational/theoretical biology.
