Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) invites applications for the post of Scientist B Forensic Science (Explosive).

Salary: (Pre-revised pay scale PB – 3, Rs.15600 – 39100/- GP – 5,400/-) Revised Pay Scale Level – 10 in pay matrix as per 7th CPC). Total emoluments excluding T.A. and HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 56,100/-p.m. approximately.
Age limit:
- Not exceeding 35 years as on normal closing date.
- Relaxable for regularly appointed Central / UT Govt. servants upto five years as per the instructions issued by the Govt. of India from time to time.
Essential Qualification (s):
- Applicant must hold Master’s Degree in Chemistry / AIC by examination / Forensic Science with Chemistry as one of the subjects at BSc level from a recognized University.
- Applicant must have 3 years’ experience of analytical methods and research therein in the field of Explosives in any Central Government or State Government organization or recognized research institute or Forensic Science Laboratory under the Central or State Government.
- Note: Qualifications may be relaxed at the choice of the UPSC in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Desirable Qualification(s):
- Applicant must have experience of working in a Forensic Science Laboratory.
Probation: 01 year
Note:
- General Central Service, Group ‘A’, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial.
- The post is permanent.
