Required Educational Qualification:

The Institute is looking for dynamic and suitably qualified individuals of Indian Citizenship, who are willing to work in IHR, to fill up the following post:

Discipline/Subject: Geoinformation/ Geology

Area of specialization – Glaciology, Data science, simulation, and modeling

3. Desirable: Research experience in Himalayan Ecosystem/ Mountain Terrains/data management related to glaciers/geohazards.

Pay Scale: As Per government regulations.

Age Limit: As Per Rules

Selection Procedure

1. All the applications received within the due date in response to this advertisement shall be considered for shortlisting by a screening committee and only the candidates recommended by the Screening Committee will be called for interview.

Application Procedure:

1. The envelope containing the application must be super-scribed as “Application for the Post of Scientist ‘C’.
2. Interested candidates should submit their application typed on A-4 size paper as per the prescribed proforma given at along with attested copies of mark sheets, certificates, degree, etc. to the Director, G.B. Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment (GBPNIHE), Kosi-Katarmal, Almora – 263 643, Uttarakhand under sealed cover through registered/speed post so as to reach by 11.10.2021
3. Candidates (advance copy) from Indian Nationals living abroad may reach the due date by e-mail (psdir@gbpihed.nic.in), followed by post up to 18.10.2021.
4. Canvassing in any form will be treated as disqualification. Interim inquiries will not be entertained.
5. The application along with Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 500.00 (only) in favor of Director, G.B. Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment (GBPNIHE), payable at Almora, as application fee in case of candidates of Unreserved category and OBC.
