Scientist – F (Electrical): Number of post 01 (One) – Unreserved, Age Limit Not exceeding 50 years

  • Qualification Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Technology in relevant subject from a recognized University or its equivalent with at least First Class (60% marks) in the qualifying degree level.
  • Desirable: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering / Power Electronics and Drives / Power Systems / High Voltage Engineering / Control and Instrumentation or equivalent from a recognized University / Institute.
  • Experience Essential: Sixteen years’ experience in Research and Development, Survey, Planning, Administration, Supervision or training, etc., in the general field of ocean technology and engineering like power systems and underwater systems, control and guidance of underwater vehicles, underwater communications, design and development of electrical / electronics for under water system etc.
  • Desirable: Experience in policy making, planning or management, etc., related to execution of projects in the area of ocean technology and engineering.

Scientist – C (Civil) Number of post 01 (One) – Unreserved Age Limit Not exceeding 40 years

  • Qualification Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University with at least First Class (60% marks) in the qualifying degree level. Desirable: Master’s degree in Civil / Structural / Ocean Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University / Institute.
  • Experience Essential: Three years’ experience in Research and Development, Survey, Planning, Supervision or training, etc., in any of the areas of ocean technology or engineering like offshore structure design and implementation, coastal protection, port and harbor engineering, environmental engineering. Desirable: Experience in policy making, planning or management, etc., related to execution of projects in the area of ocean technology and engineering.

Scientist – B (Mechanical / Marine) Number of post 01 (One) – Reserved for `SC’ Age Limit Not exceeding 40 years (35 years + 5 years) for SC candidates

  • Qualification Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Marine Engineering from a recognized University with at least First Class (60% marks) in the qualifying degree level. Desirable: Master’s degree in Mechanical / Marine Engineering /Naval Architecture or equivalent from a recognized University / Institute.

Scientist – B (Civil) Number of post 01 (One) – Unreserved Age Limit Not exceeding 35 years

  • Qualification Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University with at least First Class (60% marks) in the qualifying degree level.
  • Desirable: Master’s degree in Civil / Structural / Ocean Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University / Institute. 

Technician – Grade – A (Electrician / Instrumentation) Number of post 01 (One) – Reserved for `ST’ Age Limit Not exceeding 30 years (25+ 5 years for ST).

  • Qualification Essential: i) 10th Class Pass (Secondary / Metric) of a recognized Board and ITI course in the trade of Electrician/Instrumentation approved by National Council for Vocational Training or equivalent from recognized Institutions. ii) Basic knowledge of computer.
