Required Essential Qualification & Experience:
- First Class MTech/MD/MVSc/M.Pharm/Biotech with 3 years’ experience in relevant field OR MSc or equivalent in Microbiology with First Class and 5 years’ experience in R and D OR PhD/corresponding degree with about 1 year experience in relevant field
- Candidate should have expertise in microbial isolation, identification, taxonomy, genomics/bioinformatics proven by publications in peer reviewed journals
- Experience in isolation and identification of specific physiological group of bacteria (eg Photoautotrophic / Cyanobacteria /Anaerobic bacteria).
- Expertise in one or more techniques in bacterial taxonomy for DNA-DNA Hybridization, polar lipid analysis etc
- Culture preservation and supply of microbial cultures in a culture Collection
