Scientist/Technical Scientist in Geomicrobiology: KOCHI 975 views

Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC) is recruiting one tenure-track Scientist or Technical Scientist at the Geomicrobiology Group, Kochi Institute for Core Sample Research (KOCHI) department.

About the Job:
  • The successful applicant will conduct research in integrated earth-life-system science using interdisciplinary approach, such as state-of-the-art molecular ecological and isotopic geochemical analyses, mainly targeting (but not limited to) deep-biosphere samples obtained from scientific ocean drilling with Chikyu (e.g., fluids, sediments and rock cores).
  • The successful applicant will compare and integrate various data derived from the Earth’s interior, the applicant will explore and understand the multi-sphere interactions and co-evolution processes of life and Earth.

Duration: April 1, 2019 to March 31, 2024

Requirement:

  • Applicant may be of any nationality and either gender.
